WYC was started by Karen N. in 2012 when her girls were high school cheerleaders, as a way to allow every little girl to have an opportunity to be a sideline cheerleader for their siblings playing football. They started with just a few girls and the program grew exponentially within a few years! When her girls graduated she handed the reins to the first ever WYC board in 2018.
The mission of Willard Youth Cheerleading is to provide inspiration, enthusiasm, and support for the Willard Football League. Through the participation and instruction in the sport of cheerleading, WYC will promote good sportsmanship, personal integrity and accountability, team cooperation, health and fitness, self-confidence and empowerment.

Head Coach/President
Paige is a 2002 Graduate from Willard! She cheered 7th grade through her senior year at Willard (1997-2002). Paige joined in 2021 as an assistant coach/creative director. She was promoted to WYC's Vice President and took on an assistant Head Coach title the following season. She was voted President and Head Coach in 2025 Paige lives in Springfield with her husband, Jason of 15 years and their 4 fur babies! She enjoys going to the movies, doing puzzles, swimming and of course, cheerleading!
They will be hosting an exchange student from Finland in the fall!

Vice President/Assistant Coach
Crystal is a 2005 Willard graduate! Crystal joined WYC as a squad mom helping out in fall of 2022 and was promoted to Head Parent the following year! She was voted to the Board in 2025. Crystal has 3 children that have participated in Willard Youth Cheer, her twins Reagan and Quentin (2022-current) and Bailee (Allstars 2025).
Crystal and her children and very active outside of cheer too, from The Cutting Edge band practice and competitions to dance and tap lessons. When they do find time to relax it is at home in the country living with their 6 fur babies and a turtle!!

Treasurer
Jason knew very little about cheerleading until he met Paige. Now he is busting those High V's like he's been doing this for years. Jason joined us in 2022 as a fundraising coordinator. He was voted to CFO in 2025. Jason grew up in the Boothill of Missouri until Junior High when he moved with his family to Willard and then settled in Ozark. Jason attended Drury's Police academy and worked in law enforcement in some capacity for many years. He now works for CNH Reman and spends his time with his lovely wife and their fur babies.

Assistant Coach
Chandra is the proud mother of 8 kids! (2 already graduated from Willard) She and her youngest daughter joined WYC in fall of 2024 and are already on their second season with us! When not at cheer practice Chandra is busy being a Business owner! She owns a small cake decorating business. When she has time to unwind you can often find her enjoying country music and she loves everything Disney!

Kayla has been married to her best friend for 15 years and is the proud mother of 2! Her daughter joined WYC for ALLSTARS 24/25 and they are both excited to continue their journey with WYC!
She rocks "mom chauffer"
duties by day and is a registered NICU nurse by night. In her free time she loves getting lost in a good book and is always looking towards her family's next adventure!

Parent Liaison
Jo and her husband Josh met in high school and currently reside in Springfield. They have 4 kids ranging in ages from 5-12. Jo has worked for Panera Bread in various roles over the last 19 years and is the current Market Training Manager in SWMO.
Jo joined WYC in 2018 when her oldest daughter wanted to give cheer a try. Since then they have had 3 daughters that have enjoyed the program. Their oldest just made the WMS cheer squad and Jo credits WYC with fueling her love of cheerleading!
